The entire domestic broadcasting media sector seems to be in terminal decline, along with the (real) economy!

There was a brief sugar hit of optimism, post Covid, but that has well & truly evaporated now. Interest rates may be dropping but this won't compensate for the rapidly plunging purchasing power of the Pacific Peso, so cost of living pressures will accelerate as wage growth continues to go nowhere. As for anyone renting, well, sorry, but you're about to get even more royally screwed.

Both Political Parties have f##### this Country!
The public sector behemoth tail now wags the dog, our manufacturing base now contributes less than 5% to the total economy and the private sector is dying. At the same time, the nutjob Greens scream about shutting down our mining industries .

How can any media company, that relies on private sector advertising revenue, be expected to do well in this environment?

Australia, like the UK and Canada, is in 'Managed Decline' mode and this is why immigration levels will not drop, regardless of the platitudes spouted by talking heads politicians. The high immigration Ponzi scheme is the only thing, marginally, propping up the house of cards.

Interest rates will plummet, the purchasing power of the Peso will continue to evaporate and wage growth will continue to rise below the (dodgy AF that nobody believes) CPI levels.

The Boomers on indexed, defined benefits pensions, and the property flippers/real estate agents will do quite well in coming years - The rest of us, not so much.
