If you are a small player in a global market that is buffeted by large flows from unseen sources, it would be comforting to take solace in the company of others who share a similar aggrieved feeling that they are being treated unfairly. Religions have been founded on less.

Given what I have seen in the wholesale market, it is not probable that any of the participants in the HC gold threads has an meaningful influence what happens in a global gold market. I think that what we do on HC is as about as relevant to the gold market as barracking is to the outcome of a football match.
