full privatisation is the only way Telstra can be re-rated a growth stock.
it got punished today because no-one knows where its growth is going to come from in the next few weeks.
the company itself has admitted most of its growth will come from cost cutting but that can only go on for so long.
having said that, it still makes heaps of cash but growth is what investors in the stock market are looking for. you can get 5% per annum with a long term deposit in a bank. at the moment, that's all Telstra is offering.
