    Meh,

    EVs havent had the RnD that traditional gasoline powered cars have had. Gasoline is also a non-renewable (exhaustable resource), ie one that with this worlds current population growth, will run out of at some point in the future. Its better to move towards a change now rather than grow to rely on something that will inevitably run out.

    An why the need for energy density with regard to basic transport? As time goes on technology improvements should occur with solar panels and current battery storage without huge changes in battery density. Slap a few panels on your vehicle roof and connect it to your battery. You probably wont even need to bother with charging it at home or while your out once technology has progressed enough.

    Studies have also already proven EVs have less of an impact on the environment.

    Make the change, fossil fuels are going the same way as the dinosaurs.
