Offer is already final and unconditional.

Noble don't care if they get the whole thing. They now control 65% or more and have effective control which is why they stopped buying on market when they hit 40%. They stopped the WHC deal going through ehich was their main motivation for launching their own takeover in the first place.

Offer closes today or tomorrow which means that effectively, unless you bought last week, you won't be able to take up the offer as I doubt very much it will be extended.

IMHO, there is no real reason for this share to stay around the offer price and I would expect it to fall back to the mid $5 range over the next couple of weeks as the buyers hibernate for the winter.

It is still a takeover target, imho, and I think that noble will do something in the medium term to unlock their capital for something else. Also, they have proved just how savvy they are in pulling off this takeover when the PWC numbers said that GCL was worth a lot more--not a bad thing to have these guys working for you.

So i think GCL is still a good place to be, just not necessarily at these levels. I would short it at these levels if I was set up for it, and buy for the bottom drawer in the 5's.

all imho....Someone tell me if i've missed something....
