This gets better and better. First a bunch of greedy companies see a chance to make an easy buck - start private schools and charge lots of lovely dosh for overseas students who do not know better to attend. Then when they are making really large gobs of money tell the Australia voter that this is really really big business so we must not upset the countries that these students come from.
Then we create regulations/laws that allow the students to bring their families over to Australia on extended stays and I assume that their families can work while they are here (how else would they be able to survive). Then as the population of Australia swells by over 100k/annum we misdirect the public by shouting about a few thousand boat people. And we hear the cry "boat people are que jumpers".
Let the students go to Canada where they tell us they are treated better and lets boycott Australian companies that use overseas call centres. Then perhaps we can save some money by not sending our poor over worked politicians overseas to placate the mobs that want justice in Australia.
