Been following anecdotally my local stores (Hobart based) + went into the Tuggeranong one (Canberra) when I was up last weekend. Overall I'd say they are doing a brisk trade, albeit I have noticed a lot of discounting. I don't think this is unique to dusk, every shop seems to be promoting massive discounts/promotions in order to drive sales conversion. So far I think they've done massive discounts in black friday/cyber monday + lots of 3rd gift free offers and discounted basics (tea candle sets $7 not $10 for example). I've just received notice that their crackers are now $20 not $34.99, was only a few years ago in the AGM that Peter mentioned they move a few hundred thousand of these, I suspect they still have a lot of stock so are heavily discounting to move it. Let's hope they can maintain margins and overall sales numbers, but I'm beginning to worry they've moved into a 'clear the stock at all costs mode'
