It helps to have a charting program that gives you the option to use log scale or a "semi-log" scale for your charts. I use FChartsPro (see http://www.spacejock.com - very reasonably priced with excellent features)...
Most current spreadsheet programs will also give you the option to use logarithmic scales on charts, eg, MS Excel, etc...
