i'll let someone else reply to Merkin - it looks like logarithmic scale or some scale to measure % changes rather than nominal scale. Very important when looking at 10 year share prices as a 10 cent gain when the share price is $10 is much different than the same gain when the share price is $30.
This could be just the kind of thing needed to begin this correction mentioned above.

Banks have dropped 2.5% with Lloyds TSB saying
"We will be cutting our earnings estimates for 2003."
It shouldnt be too long before our banks follow suit.
CBA mentioned it some 9 months ago but this has since been forgotten.
