while I don't think that anyone can verify or deny whether a trade is meant to manipulate prices (up or down) so I don't think any type of trade should be seen that way.

it goes through the features of the new order types (CX, CXXT etc) introduced in 2013.
Generally these are premium broker services which allow people to buy/sell the spread if someone else is also willing to buy/sell ths spread between the bid and sell depth.
Nothing really conspicuous about it however brokers have gotten into trouble for ripping people off using this before, selling their clients stock to another client and both not getting the price they asked for, so there has been some dodgy practices in the past. But nothing to do with the stock manipulation.
