    Geez....a number of factors one would think:

    Market is considered overpriced, and August is traditionally a down month.
    Positive results across many ASX companies have met with equal dissatisfaction, dropping the SP.
    Higher volume = more shorts.
    Bears are in control.
    Lemming mentality - every mainstream paper keeps on about the lack of economic growth, stay out of the market, short the market, blah, blah, blah.
    Ex-dividend.
    This 'puppy' is traditionally volatile, and on the back of strong and solid growth has yelped before at a 12 month low of $4.50(ish).
    Mr Market isn't getting much satisfaction with ASX.
    Mrs Market is premenstrual.
