Thanks Horsetrader...but that alone does not explain the matter entirely IMO. How do you explain the run up to $6, and other stocks that have not taken the tumble on the back of a falling nickel price?
Further, do you think all that money would have been invested in Ravensthorpe if the beancounters at BHP thought nickel would collapse?

Short term fluctuation in a quality stock IMO. If it goes much lower the takeover target talk will start thus putting another floor under the share price.
