Head2641 - when I used to travel on business, we had a daily allowance, but it was a limit. I had to provide receipts for all expenditure and if I did not spend the allowance, the company kept the difference. Sometimes I stayed with family when I was in the UK. This was a benefit for me in seeing my family and for my company in lower expenses. But the idea I would get the allowance for staying with my family? You gotta be joking. Only in politics.
