The UN has only been going to all the trouble with Saddam since the US has been calling for a total military invasion. Which raises the question why did the US not call for a full military invasion with Milosecic.

When will it sink in that the peace marchers are not supporting Saddam but they are againdt a war were the main victims will be Iraqi civilians, and a war that is seen to be nothing more than protecting and furthering US interests.

No but where was the full scale military invasion that put 100,000 plus civilian lives at risk with Milosevic.

Yes Saddam is a cruel dictator - so are a dozen other leaders and yes the Iraqi people could be freed from Saddam - who by 100,000 being killed as a result of the US lead military action.
Yes Saddam used chemical weapons on the Kurds and Iran. The US used depleted uranium shells on the Iraq which has lead to the highest level of childhood luekimia in the world. A disease that can not be treated because the Iraq can not access the drugs required.
Yes Iraq invaded Iran after years of boader skirmishes between the 2 countries. A war that even though the US claimed to be neutral was supporting by supplying Iraq with military assistance and inteligence. Why because Iran's fundamentalist anti west leaders were seen as a threat to the US and its OIL interests. At the smae time bedts were being edged by military hardware being sold to Iran by Israel that had been originally sold by the US.
Yes Iraq invaded Kuwaite again over boarder issues relating to oil and Kuwaites failure to compensate Iraq for the cost of the war with Iran which they had agreed to do.
Yes Iraq launched skuds into Israel during the gulf war probably for several reasons, it is a defacto state of the US, Israels support of Iran during the war, Israels prior attacks on Iraq.
There is no arguement that Iraq would be better off without Saddam but it is also clear that many of the reasons put forward for this are based on distorted facts, excluded details and even lies.
