What an incredible statement, With japan entering a depression and the united states almost certain to follow, you think it will be seen as a short period of madness.
This is an absolute disaster on a huge scale, it has not even started yet, it is quite possible the United states could become relegated to the third world if it continues in the direction it is currently going, you may laugh at that statement but i am deadly serious. This will not be a short period of madness. You are witnessing the death of a superpower, a death caused by it's own doing, Greed, manipulation, out of control lending, illegal occupations of other nations, costing trillions of dollars of borrowed money, the mind boggles at the sheer stupidity of it all, it's just a shame that we all get sucked down the plug hole with them.
