    Further to my previous post I hadn't read about Copan but if you look at their website under the advantage tab http://www.copanusa.com/products/automation/wasplab/

    They list a 27 megapixel image as an advantage - ie the microbiologist still has to analyse this image.

    APAS does this on its own with the whole AI thing we have got FDA approval for..
