    Homogeneity of colony morphology between bacterial species is also a other hurdle to the specificity of
    these new systems. Citrobacter looks a hell of a lot like E.coli, Group A strep looks a hell of a lot like Listeria etc etc... Imaging techniques like elastic light scatter will help overcome this hurdle, revealing specific features that the human eye cannot discern.
