True. But I think this is still a larger scale solution than APAS. Also bear in mind APAS is currently for urines. WCA covers more than one specimen type. It really is just a smaller version of TLA. I still think the market overlap would be minimal. It also remains to be seen how capable APAS really is. Likewise BDs imaging tech. Until both are available for comparison we won't know. Thats why I said a deal could still be possible incorporating APAS software in kiestra. Then we have a monopoly situation again... i can dream.
