Although the results from the study are a very exciting discovery the reaction I feel is appropriate at this point in time. Yes the findings are significant in meaning but it’s a very long way off being further researched and developed, possibly years. To factor in this possibility now is a little premature imo. Longer term it could prove to be a substantial and significant finding.
As it stands now the funding available is for the clinical trials for the ovarian cancer. To go down the rabbit hole after the CTC finding is additional cost for starters. The clinical trials need to be undertaken and prove beyond doubt IVX-P02 works on one kind of cancer. If that is proven to be effective then there is good reason to look at more cancer types and the CTC findings. Throwing cash at CTC follow up research could just be a waste of money if IVC-P02 is proven to be ineffective.
In the longer run, proof that IVC-P02 is effective, then that opens pandora’s box.
