I think they miss a key point by a country mile. Come next time there are salary negotiations between the Government and employees, the employees wont give a shit about fiscal discipline, they'll simply remember the 25% pay rise the MPs gave themselves.

Another key point is Can-Do's assets sales will not raise free cash. Those assets have debt attached to them so they will simply transfer the debt off the state's books. You do agree if the private sector is interested in these assets (and attached debt) then its good productive debt that's being transferred.
