I would have thought that early exercise of their option would be a negative for SBS as the net present value would be a lot lower now than a few months time (assuming their really is gold in them hills). Saying that, SGC shares might be alot lower than it will be then meaning, in translation of shares, SBS should get a larger slice of SGC. WOuld love to see the specifics of the option contract though to really evaluate the real winner. It would be hard to imagine that SBS would have allowed a contrct to be written that basically gives their share away for less than true value.

Having a director on 2 boards is a positive in my opinion. It is also quite common, especially where companies, have very close synergies, which in this case they do. Not sure why the negative posters harp on this. Is there some history of this director that we should know about?
