not Albanese screwing this.... the legislation bill, drafted by Philip Ruddock, was unconstitutional. politicians don't have the same power as a judge to sentence people to imprisonment. and certainly imprisonment without an offence against the laws of Aus is an offence by the political class for imposing imprisonment on any person without legal cause.
the mess was created by Liberals, not by the current Gov.
