re: why the cheap prices// size of market
one thing to note. even if this drug is successful in its trials, it doesn't translate into mountains of profits. there's a wide variety of obesity drugs each targeting specific mechanisms, and one which promotes burning fat stores may not be the fastest way of losing weight.
e.g. drugs which work at inhibiting apetite may prove superior in the end.
this aod9604 only shaves around half a kilo of fat a week, based on the short term trials. one idea is that the body could (and most likely will) respond to decreasing fat stores by increasing apetite. such a result would negate what little net weight loss this drug achieved.
also to be able to just chop a part of the intact hGH molecule and have it function independently as it would when it belonged to the actual complex i think would be pretty amazing. you never know, there might be another part of that molecule, whose function hasn't been elucidated, which somehow plays an integral role in the long term fat utilization mechanism of AOD9064.
with a weight rate loss translating to only 26 kgs a year, it could also be snubbed in favor of alternative weight loss measures with similar rates of weight reduction (jenny craig, atkins diet)
i wouldn't listen to broker's reports on these things, unless they have a degree in biochemistry. how the body works at the molecular level in a particular area takes scientists years to understand, and now you're asking a finance expert to do a report assessing the effectiveness of a potential drug... lol.
just a few ideas that came to mind... but i'd agree that this is definitely worth doing more homework on. i've found the original article published regarding this discovery in an endocrinology journal, looks to be quite a handful at this stage...
