Dolce - is more about the remuneration for risk/effort. I am Chair of a NFP so aware of the insurance side. People think a non exec director just shows up to a few meetings a year and vote on a few things. It's just not the case. I was thinking my next phase in life was a couple of paid directorships and a couple of NFPs but I think I will skip the paid ones (cause shareholders might want me to buy some shares - lol) and just manage my own investments (and trade other things) and do the NFPs - it's more rewarding for the risk - just not in $ terms. I am a year or 2 away still - my day job is still to much fun so might change my mind a few times between now and then - the ideal scenario will be part time which is why I looked at the director option but frankly it doesn't warrant it financially. Mr Bouris is not our Chair for the cash that's for sure.
