I can point the finger at stupidity of excessive Chinese and EU protectionism as well.
My expectation is that all of the large isolationist, protectionist economies with aging populations will stagnate in unison.
The frustrating thing about the US economy is that it could be so easily be tweeked into serious boom times but nobody has the will to do so.
