With posts that stupid nobody will take your comments seriously. It also shows how ignorant you really are when it comes to understanding one basic fundamental point. ALAN JOYCE is the boss of QAN, not the workers or the unions. ALAN JOYCE is the CEO, ALAN JOYCE is responsible for the strategy that QAN chooses to take, not the workers or unions, ALAN JOYCE and his cohorts make all decisions regarding routes flown by QAN, Aircraft used by QAN, JSA's used by QAN, not the workers or unions.
Get it through your head bossdog, the workers just work, the management manages. To say AJ cannot even go to the toilet without union approval is just ridiculous. To imagine that somehow the staff and unions have somehow taken key decisions away from management and are managing the company is also ridiculous. If that is the case, WHAT IS JOYCEY DOING at QAN, why is he being paid $5.5m/year???
BTW, the present industrial landscape at QAN is purely the result of one thing, an incompetent and arrogant management who have decided to burn workers conditions through any means possible (mostly slash and burn). Management does not respect staff, they do not look to their expert staff for advice on future decisions such as fleet purchases and configuration requirements and they are confrontational to say the least, even if unions are asking for a reasonable pay rise of 3% on average. Remind me what Joyce got last year, 71%, management 62%. HOW HYPOCRITICAL!!!
One thing is for sure, Joyce will not last, the SP is diving and someone has to take the wrap. He is at the helm, he gets the big bucks (in good times and bad), he must go! if the major QAN shareholders do not insist on kicking him out, they only have themselves to blame when the SP sub 50c.
