why the need to focus (even if only a small part of their effort) on the Teutonic project?

The option was expiring. they obviously believe there is something of value in the project, and as such needed to do some work to both keep the project on the books and to justify why to shareholders.

It looks as if short term they have satisfied both requirements with the last 2 announcements, and hopefully now the next newsflow comes from Chile where i am sure the majority of effort from employees is being focussed.
