razman, don't be disappointed with those 'hammer or shakeouts'..
the first occasion performed perfectly with it bouncing hard and then going into some sideways consolidation before busting higher
Monday it had quite a lot of high volume near its lows (sellers) and I guess it is just seeking out if there are any more sellers ie with what appears to be atm some testing .. if the price rises shortly you will know it was successful or they are content atm.
also shakeouts or hammers with extremely large wicks don't always go north
