A successful economy in the currently climate would be the key driver for the Malaysian Government in an election.
EU mess, failed kick-start to US economic engine, slowing Chinese economy, a fragile global outlook - now would not be the time for the government to risk scaring off any potential foreign investments. Delaying the TOL will do exactly just that.
Foreign investments and business activities create jobs.
Jobs feed the people.
Having a full stomach and a sound economy will keep the people happy.
Happy people gets you votes.
LAMP & rare earth will both help to fuel the economy well before the election.
I personally can't see TOL being delayed until after the election. But then again, I am no financial adviser or politician.
