I would also add that it is one of the few companies of any description which has unquestionably been run in the best interests of its shareholders over the past decade. Whereas most companies are run to expand the empire, egos and pay-packets of their management, TRY has always paid dividends.

This is particularly telling the gold mining industry. It means they have husbanded their capital carefully and that they have made real profits, after all depreciation and amortization. It also means that they have good project selection criteria, in that they only select and develop mines which will be capable of making profits, after all costs. Finally, they don't just use every cent of profit to bung into the next big acquisition or expansion: they allocate some for the future and some for the shareholders' dividends.

This has not been a popular model over the past couple of decades, because it necessitates not borrowing too much, not expanding too fast and not over-promising and under-delivering. So, TRY has not been a market darling. However, I would suggest that when the present shell-shock wears off, there will be a substantial number of real "investors" who will highly value this kind of business ethics and the proven results TRY has shown over the past decade.

[BTW, I have no proof, but I believe that the relative lack of liquidity in the share is because there are so many other shareholders who have the same opinion as me - a real keeper.]
