Honest vets will admit that it is unnecessary to vaccinate every year, as I found when I challenged a vet around 18 years ago saying that people don't get vaccinated yearly. He admitted that it wasn't necessary, so I did the early vaccinations to around 2 years of age and then once more about 5 years later and that was it.
As the article says 5 to 7 years is the duration of vaccine acquired immunity.
Growing up on a farm our dogs never, ever saw a vet and none ever died from disease or illness. The only time they were ever vaccinated was with the advent of Parvovirus, as it was a totally new disease for dogs. Gotta wonder where it came from.
