Many deserving people try to sue the Commonwealth. Quite rightly it takes a long time with hard negotiation.
In Brittany's case the Liberals were embarrassed just before an election. The incoming ALP government paid her out in what seems a very quick settlement.
She was drunk, out of hours. Her deportment, drinking and choice of companion are her own business. What's it got to do with taxpayers?
This should be investigated.
