without disputing whether it's viable or not, dairy cattle come into the milking parlour for milking, loads of manure, you just need the good old yard scraper :)
there is a convent in england that powers on pig manure methane, not sure if that is just heating or if they actually get electricity too, I think just heating system & hot water.
