Job description
JOB SUMMARY: The Business Development Executive will be responsible for managing accounts while meeting specified targets by creating value for the existing customers and prospecting for new customers with products, services, and/or solutions.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop new business opportunities within the markets Alexium serves; manage relationships with current customers
- Enhance brand awareness and create product demand by developing direct relationships with end user customers and with industry and governmental bodies that influence target markets
- Achieve maximum sales growth and market share objectives.
- Collect and share market feedback of industry trends, customer product expectations, and competitive observations with internal stakeholders
- Provide proposals, quotations, product education/training and other commercial information to customers.
- Forecast sales to enable operations planning and introduce product innovations.
- Conducting product updates, trials, and technical and sales training to customers, manufacturers, and influence groups.
- Providing timely and accurate administration and communication of customer needs to others in the organization.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandizing techniques.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trade shows; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Attend major industry trade shows and key market events
- Develop and maintain strong internal relationships with R&D, PD, and operations teams Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Demonstrated ability to grow business in new markets Market knowledge and networks within the Chemical industry
- Ability to communicate with employees in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
- Ability to prioritize workloads
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite and bar coding equipment Ability to safely handle hazardous materials
