The proposed carbon tax is bloody scary IMO....combine this with the increasing Aussie dollar and our exports will plummet as manufacturers will no lose their competitiveness in international markets. This will have a knock on effect throughout the whole economy, resulting in job losses.

@amazingfaces,I also see your point, but I do think that perhaps a look at the bigger picture (i.e. the Australian economy as a whole) would be more reasonable.
