    Why would you throw away an opportunity to vote AP? Surely there is a party that has the policy make up you would prefer?

    If enough people didn't vote one way or the other in their own electorate, quite possibly a person could be elected to represent you that has nothing at all in common with your own belief. Then there is no reason at all to complain as you did not have a say in who represents you, or is in Government.

    Similarly anybody posting here who should have voted in the last election but voted informally or refused to vote has no real grounds to write scathing comments of either party or party leader.

    I also just do not understand the mind set of people who will vote for a party based on the personality of the party leader at the time. We have witnessed already that the Labor Party even in Government will change leaders at the drop of a hat dependent on the popularity of that leader, so why on earth vote for a person?
