For the record. The positions that MS hold is not from the bank itself. They are all held for clients. MS is a very large Prime Broker and hence the stock is held on its books on behalf of its clients. Yes that means Hedge funds.
As for the Mitsubishi UFJ shareholdings. Both MS and UFJ have a joint venture in Japan and by law they have to submit substaintial notice due to the JV.
So, for the last time...forget about MS...because it is not them.
