Figured a new thread might be worthwhile, and thought I'd revisit the rationale behind my buying in in the first place in case that helps anyone else.
As we know there are four main plays at the moment:
Red Panda JV opportunity (Wildplay)
- drilling opportunity open till March 2022
- If successful for Lithium Caesium Tantalum, then can achieve farm-in of 75%
- prospect was under explored, and geology indicates it's worth a shot
- RC samples we've been advised today are not what we were hoping for
- I'm assuming we're trying again while the option is live
Mt Adrah Gold Project
- strategic landholding in gold bearing area in NSW
- possible targets identified
- future brownfield and greenfield opportunity potential
Boltcutter Gold
- prospective tenements in the Pilbara
- nearology play to De Grey's Hemi discovery
- projects are unexplored for gold or lithium (both are around the area)
Widefield targets
- Initial fieldwork to start this year
- looking for platinum group elements
- other mines and infrastructure in the region
So, we know the early catalyst (great results from the first inspection of Red Panda) has not showered us in riches. However, that's not to say that it won't before the option is done, or that the option can't get extended (I actually don't know whether it can or not). It was the very definition of a wildcat play, and scored about what should have been expected (despite our hopes and dreams).
The next two catalysts for mine are Boltcutter, where I'd expect any hits to get quickly linked to either Hemi (for gold) or the market in the case of lithium intercepts, and the wide field targets in the mid west of WA, where some of the guys working on mines in the area have mentioned the ground is pretty good (economic or feasible or discoverable - no idea sorry).
So in all, my personal view, is that the Red Panda would have been an awesome surprise, it was a shot at lotto really. The longer term play there may still work out. And for Boltcutter and the Widefield projects, there's some company making opportunities right there.
Interested in others thoughts if I've missed or misunderstood something...
