Maybe give the Germans Detroit where I believe there are houses for sale for $1000 and no takers...

Of failing that, I would guess there are massive reserves of gold in a variety of relatively small countries that can suddenly be found to present a WMD/nuclear threat to world peace...

Gadaffi's Libya was said to have some 300 tonnes of gold in their vaults in Libya prior to the recent "liberation"...
I would not bet that too much of that gold is still in Libya anymore...
