SKI will not buy in until the resource size is confirmed. Imagine them buying in only to find the resource is open but grades had dropped to an level that is not economic to be mined for allot of the resource.
All the information and drill results given to the market so far seems very positive but I believe this needs to be confirmed with a JORC compliant resource before a billion dollar company such as SKI will invest such a large amount of money to buy into and potentially fund (if BB is to be believed in his retracted statements
).
