no, on their way to australia, they do not sail past india - because india is on the west side (maybe a hundred of km) of sri lanka, and australia is a few thousand km to the east side.
the bottom line is, that at the very time, that the united nations and sri lanka are doing their best, to heal the wounds of a ethnic problem - some people think that australia is a better option - but only for economic reasons. tamils are more ¨indian¨ than what they are australian - so why come here????
