The drop in price suggests some short selling and I don't have the time or knowledge to know where to look to find the shorting list. However Point 7 in the Loan Facility Ann spells out the exercise prices of another swag of options for Highland; ie av price over 5 days trading prior to signing of agreement. It stands to reason then that HP would rather pay 1.50 than 1.70 or more. If word was to get out that a loan facility was on the table, this could boost the sp considerably. It could therefore pay (pun intended) to have another party make sure that it didn't, and indeed, pay some more (pun intended) if the price could even be moved down.
