I would expect the FDA staff to be indifferent to many of the sad comments, they are immersed in the reality of diseases everyday. A savvy bio investor once told me that adding sad pleas/comments just gives the FDA more time to stall as the they allot time to consider each and every comment. Whether that is totally true I do not know.
