Mike, you say that our banks have dropped 8-10% in the last 8 trading days. That's so much better then some of the US and UK/Europe banks who have been dropping 20% on some days and some have halved their sp since the new year. I just wonder if our banks have some downsize catchup to do and I also note that the lifting of banking shorts begins next week. The UK lifted shorts on the finance sector last week and their sp's have taken a bath and I suspect we may see the same unfortunately when our short policy is lifted next week. so to answer the question why would you buy bank shares? Not in the short term!
