Why would you invest?

I am amazed to see that so many people want to invest in such a badly managed company as Discovery. After wallowing in debt for the past few years they have now arranged a giant $100M credit card and have agreed to pay interest at 5% above market rates and the interest will be capitalised until Sept 2018. By then the credit card debt will be $124M or higher if interest rates go up.
Unfortunately running a company like this can only end badly.......
