Fact is, no Government is perfect, there are only a few MP's who believe in what they do and will make honest efforts to promote good policy and initiatives.
This is not something we see much these days unfortunately...too much me-ism and too little experience in all matters.
Maybe political life is more complicated now, than it was 20, 30, 40 years ago. My first vote was in 1972 and have previously given reasons for the way I voted. Social media has made everything available to everybody within minutes, no days off for Government.
People here would know how I vote, and that is because the Liberal policy platform suits the way I think about most things...though some of the LNP MP's have rocks in their heads too!
Newman gets points for trying, he cannot get everything right as nobody can or ever will.
If anybody has ever managed a business with middle management and department heads below that to deal with they will understand the enormity of the task in bringing all onto the same page at any one time. There will always be dissidents and break aways.
That applies to both persuasions, not just Libs.
I guess the main difference in the two parties in that respect is if you don't do as you are told as an ALP MP you get removed from the party...so you do and say as you are told.
An LNP MP can say what he likes to the media without getting sacked which can appear to the electorate like the leader cannot control his party.
Far from the truth, and I like that an MP can express his / her opinion outside of the party line should they choose to.
