The main positives of the proposal as I see it are that if the gold price rises they have the cash on the hand to bring new projects online quickly to take advantage of the rising price and if the gold price falls from its current level then the $225 million won't leave them in such a precarious cash position as would have been the case i.e. the downside risk from a falling gold price is reduced.
