    what's the rationale for having multiple _concurrent_ offers at the same price?

    I've read that in the US algorithms are used to determine the otherwise secret maximum/minimum price a bid/offer is being made at.

    But here on the ASX aren't all bids and offers public info so I don't see the point of this kind of algo.

    please explain!
