Warren Buffett would never consider investing a company like ARI. He has always said to avoid any business that deals in a commodity product.
The plant and equipment are probably worth scrap value to an Indian or Chinese company willing to relocate the plant overseas.
The government wouldn't consider bailing out ARI. They were willing to let they entire car industry close down with a far greater loss of jobs and votes.
