Yes - I'd like to know where this "hype" is coming from as this must be the least hyped gold/Vanadium/Nickel/Iron stock on the ASX. Mention Reed resources and most investors would say "who?"
I do not see this as a pump and dump. While you need to be very careful with broker/analyst valuations I think a valuation of $260m worked out prior to the latest mineral upgrades (maybe $300m+ now) allows for a pretty big margin of error for a cashed-up stock with a MC of $100m.
As with many other spec stocks at the moment, it has been oversold dramatically below established fundamental value with not even a skerrick of spec value added.
Given there is general agreement about gold well exceeding $1000/oz in the near future I can't see much downside with massive upside once in production.
